1. Nature of the Reference

Poway Residents Directory is a private reference that describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning Poway, San Diego County, and California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with Poway City Hall, a county or state office, a court, a library, or another custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it or information reached through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm anyone
  • Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
  • Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the pages at scale
  • Interfere with the service, its security, or its operation

3. No Consumer Report

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Material here, and results returned by a linked search tool, are not consumer reports and may not be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

4. Third-Party Destinations

Poway, San Diego County, California agencies, courts, libraries, archives, and sponsored search providers set their own terms and policies. The directory does not control their content, availability, prices, security, or data practices.

5. No Promise of Accuracy

The service is supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a page, link, record description, coverage statement, or portal result is accurate, complete, current, or continuously available. Confirm a record with its custodian.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from the service or a linked resource, including a decision made from a record reached through it.

7. Your Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.

8. Copyright and Linking

The original wording, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. A link to a page and a short attributed quotation are welcome. Full-page republication or systematic copying is not permitted.

9. Future Revisions

These terms may be changed by posting a revised version here. Continued use after the revision is posted means the updated terms are accepted.

10. Access Restrictions

The operators may block or limit access, with or without notice, when a user violates these terms, abuses the service, or threatens its security or availability.

11. California Governing Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Public-record references are informed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000. Privacy references include the California Consumer Privacy Act and related amendments in Civil Code section 1798.100 and following. Those statutes do not turn this private reference into a records custodian.

12. Severable Terms

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent allowed by law.
