Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. The site operator does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own records. If you contact the directory desk, the message and any details you choose to include are visible to the person handling the reply.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and time stamps. Those logs are used in aggregate to keep the service working and to understand which Poway reference pages are useful. Basic cookies or similar tools may support analytics or advertising measurement when enabled by the hosting setup.
How the Information Is Used
Data is used to operate the pages, answer messages, find faults, measure traffic, and improve the reference. Poway Residents Directory does not sell a visitor list or build an individual profile from ordinary page use.
External Record Portals
Links lead to City of Poway pages, San Diego County ARCC, the Registrar of Voters, courts, libraries, archives, California agencies, and sponsored search tools. Each outside service controls its own privacy policy and data practices. A form submitted to a county or state custodian is governed by that custodian’s rules, not this policy.
Who May Process Logs
Hosting and technical providers may handle ordinary server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it. It is not otherwise shared as a visitor directory.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the operational purposes described here. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or user profiles stored by this reference site. No security promise can remove the risks that accompany any internet transmission.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information to the contact mailbox, ask for its deletion through the Contact page.
California Privacy Choices
California’s Consumer Privacy Act and amendments in Civil Code section 1798.100 and following may give covered consumers rights to know, delete, correct, or opt out of sale or sharing, subject to the statute’s exceptions. California’s newer data-broker deletion system may offer another route when its current implementation applies. Because this service keeps little direct information, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Poway, San Diego County, or California custodians are outside this service’s control, so removal or correction requests for those records must go to the source office.
Changes to This Policy
When the privacy practices or legal requirements change, the revised policy will be posted here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
